2022 Local 25-M Year-end Holidays and Christmas GatheringYear End Holiday Gatherings Are Huge Success
WARREN, MI (December 20, 2022) – Holiday cheer rang out across Michigan and Ohio as members and officers of Teamsters District Council 3 gathered in Cincinnati, Cleveland and Warren over the last two weekends to celebrate the holidays. Hundreds of toys were collected and more than $11,000 was donated to charities during the gatherings as a way of giving back
to our communities.
"To gather as a union family was just so exceptional during what can only be described as extraordinary times in the last 30 months," said Teamsters District Council 3 Secretary Treasurer Israel Castro. "It truly was incredible to see so many members come out and celebrate the holidays." Union members across the District Council collected toys for donation to the Toys 4 Tots campaign, which is an annual program run by the United States Marine Corp Reserve. Teamsters District Council 3 President James Corbit also presented checks to three organizations that provide services to those in need. "It's a privileged opportunity to represent DC 3 and the William Browning Memorial as we distributed much needed funds to organizations like HAVEN, Play-Place Autism and St. Leo's," said Corbit. "To see the joy of appreciation from dedicated representatives of these hardworking groups was truly special." 
Members and guests attended the three events from Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, and Pennsylvania. "It was just so nice to come together and break bread with so many great friends," said long time Teamsters District Council 3 union member Gloria Nance who works in Ohio and attended the event held in Cleveland. "Its been a long time, and this was really a nice opportunity to see my brothers and sisters in DC3."
2023 Local 25-M Annual William Browning Golf OutingSATURDAY, AUGUST 26, 2023 The annual golf outing is a fund raiser for various charities. The outing raises thousands of dollars from generous participants and sponsors. |
